If you are celebrating Valentine’s Day in any way, chances are you may have a glass of wine with dinner or even as a sweet treat in lieu of dessert. Choose a wine with less carbs to feel less guilty about your splurge!
Wine Carb Counts – per 5 ounce serving
Dry Champagne: ~2.5 to 4.5 grams
Dry White (examples: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay): 3 grams
Dry Red (examples: Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sav.): 3.5 to 4 grams
Zinfindel: 4.2 grams
Off Dry (examples: Reisling, Chenin Blanc): 5 to 6 grams
Moscato: 8 grams
Dessert Wines: 12 to 14 grams
Sweet Late Harvest Wine: 20 grams
