Recipe: Christmas Banana Oat Cake

Are you looking for a healthy, easy cake recipe for the holidays? Try this nutritious TLS Banana Oat Cake packed with fiber and nutrients this Christmas.  This can be a fun cooking activity for the kids and family, too!

Serves: Makes 1 6-inch round cake

Prep Time: 45 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp Stevia
  • ¼ cup butter (soften, unsalted)
  • ¼ cup milk (low-fat or skim)
  • ¼ cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

 

Method:

  •  Preheat oven to 180C. Place baking sheet in baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine flour and sugar.
  • Add butter, milk and beaten egg.
  • Using a hand or electric mixer, beat until combined.
  • Add mashed banana and vanilla extract.
  • Continue mixing until ingredients are incorporated.
  • Pour batter into baking pan
  • Gently drop the pan onto a table 7-8 times to allow air to escape from the batter.
  • Sprinkle oats on the surface
  • Bake until golden brown or when insert comes out clean.
  • Dust icing sugar on top for garnish (optional).
  • Serve Banana Oat Cake hot.

 食譜—香蕉燕麥蛋糕

你想在聖誕準備一個簡易又營養豐富的蛋糕嗎?今個聖誕在家動手製作一個富含纖維及營養素的香蕉燕麥蛋糕!還可以和家人小朋友一起製作,更添樂趣!

 

材料:

 

  • 1 隻熟香蕉  (壓爛成蓉)
  • 1 隻蛋
  • 1 杯自發粉
  • ½ 茶匙 泡打粉
  • 2 湯匙Stevia 代糖
  • ¼ 杯牛油 (無鹽, 放溫室)
  • ¼ 杯低脂或脫脂牛奶
  • ¼ 杯燕麥
  • 2 茶匙雲尼嗱油

 

做法:

1) 預熱焗爐至180C,於餅模上鋪上烘焙紙。

2) 將麵粉及糖拌均。加入牛油、牛奶和蛋,用打蛋器拌均直至材料拌勻。

3) 倒入已壓爛的香蕉蓉,再加入雲尼嗱油。繼續攪拌全完混混合.

4) 將麵漿倒入餅模, 輕放餅模在桌上, 重覆約7-8次, 讓麵漿裡面多餘空氣走出來。

5) 把燕麥平衡放在麵漿表面,再放入焗爐焗至金黃色。

6) 灑上糖霜,即完成。趁熱品嚐。
