Walking is the simplest thing you can do to burn calories and adding more steps to your daily routine can really help you towards your summer goals. There are plenty of benefits that come along with a daily walk, but everyone needs a good playlist first! Check out our April picks below.
You can take more steps at home or work, inside or outside – the options are endless! When you’re home, try taking a lap around the block before you settle in on the couch with the tv remote. You can even make a quick game out of the commercials by doing a different exercise for each type!
While at work, get more steps by walking a lap or two around the building before you head to your desk or during your scheduled breaks. You can also park just a little further from the door to your building to get a few extra steps heading to and from your car!
Taking extra steps whenever you can makes a difference over time. You may notice that the addition of fitness trackers to daily routines means that everyone is starting to walk more to meet their step goals. If you have a Fitbit, you have the option to join a challenge with your family, friends or coworkers. This will make walking fun, help you compare your steps with everyone else’s, and push you to do more!
